BIO: Lourdes is the winner of the 2017 & 2018 Stardust Dance Top Teacher Award. She has been dancing from a very young age and began teaching and competing professionally in 1996. Her dance background includes Ballroom, Latin, Folk, Belly Dance, WCS and Argentine Tango. Her ballroom dance major along with her interdisciplinary teaching experience and studies in music, martial arts and speech pathology contribute to the versatility of her dancing and teaching style. Currently she is Program Director and Lead Instructor of the Dance Program at Hudson Valley Face & Body Movement Studio in Fishkill, NY.

Note: The Binghamton dance community loves welcoming new dancers and offers many opportunities to get started with your WCS. However, these workshops are designed for dancers who have some experience with the dance. In order to allow more seasoned dancers to get the most out of these workshops, please attend only if you’ve already taken beginner WCS swing lessons and are comfortable with 6 and 8-count patterns. We appreciate your consideration!
